Constipation is a condition when someone has three or few bowel movements in a week and the stools are hard and difficult to pass. Constipation is typically diet-related. There are many things we can do to relieve constipation; the following are some tips:

  1. Eat breakfast. It help to stimulate healthy bowel movement.
  2. Make time to go to the toilet. Early in the morning before breakfast or 30 minutes after breakfast is the best time as the large intestine moves faster in the morning.
  3. Don't ignore the urge to pass motion. Ignoring the urge causes build up of wastes and leads to constipation.
